Day 131

It was rainy, the road was wet, slippery and there I went with high speed. My fingers are swollen with nasty scrapes that means no knitting, crocheting, quilting or redwork coming day(s).

Day 130

New ordered yarn came in today. It rained the whole day, perfect to start a new knitting project.
The basket was a knitting project made with this yarn (<- click)

Day 127

Maybe this will be one of the last pictures of the peacock in our garden. He used to live at a 'farm' close to my house. But he and his 'brother' spend a lot of time in our neighborhood. Most people don't like them anymore since they makes their noise from 4.30 am till late during the day.The owner must provide a solution for this problem and that will be probably a new home for them.
I'm sure I wil miss them.

Day 126

DD3 with our niece, they are very close together since the first day my niece was born.
It is fun to watch them together.

(and look at that brace-less smile from DD3)

Day 120

This is a part of an old traditional costume.  (<- click)
We call this red and white colored fabric "Melk en bloed".
(Milk and blood).  I don't know how old this piece is but probably around 1900. (maybe I'm wrong)
I love it and wish I could buy a few yards of this fabric.

Day 119

Two pictures today. I just can't choose.

The weather was like summer. Very nice warm. We went to the boat and we weren't the only one...

The second picture is from this Great Crested Grebe (oftewel een Fuut) with two chicks on her back. Looks like they have little red hearts on their heads don't you think?

Day 117

DD3

My DD3 and I went by bike through the Dunes to the beach. We saw two foxes, rabbits,
wild horses (<-click), a deer and bats. It was already dark in the dunes when we cycled the last miles home, very exciting.

(It's for me and my DH, think we will choose for a cycling magazine, which is a passion for both of us)

Day 114

Today I pedaled towards the stormy rainy weather. As long as it doesn't rain when I leave my house I don't care about rain and I had a nice ride today.
In the dunes I saw a fox. He was running next to me.
I was a bit afraid of him and didn't dare to stop to take a picture.

Day 108

For Tracey, a picture of my favorite figurine. A 'hummeltje' This one is very tiny. (3.5 inch)
For years it was very 'kitsch' in our country (maybe it still is, but I think it has something...)
